Job Title:                                Site Superintendent/Project Manager

SUMMARY

Duties will include, ensures that all safety programs, policies, and procedures are being adhered to. Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction. Will be responsible for the construction project from start to finish. Will report back to AGRA Management at end of project with both positive feedback and areas that could be improved for the next project.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
  2. Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
  3. Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
  4. Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used, and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
  5. Directs workers concerned with major maintenance or reconditioning projects for existing installation.
  6. Initiate and implement project plan and development including the preparation of project schedules from conceptual design up to and including execution of project schedule.
  7. Collaborate with Human Resources and Management in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of construction personnel.
  8. Act as liaison with Engineering to coordinate details that meet the sales design objectives and to guarantee that the customer’s intent is being met with designs and fabricated components.
  9. Act as liaison with purchasing to guarantee timely delivery of components to the job site that meet the original sales design objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a good understanding of project management concepts and techniques, including project control, planning, estimating, resource management, risk management, and quality assurance.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years experience in project management, training, and performing on site safety audits.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

OSHA 30 hour construction course is required.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Extreme noise, dust, welding flash, mud, snow, ice, abrasion, and fall hazards are routinely present at construction job sites and the employee will be required to wear proper PPE.

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

 

This position requires frequent travel and extended workdays.
