SUMMARY
Plan,
direct and coordinate activities surrounding the design, fabrication, and General
Construction of turnkey processing facilities.
Responsible for providing guidance, direction and assistance to the
Project Managers. Act as a liaison with all company departments to execute
construction projects in a timely and cost effective manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Communicate
effectively with project managers to establish clear project goals, analyze
project work process, and recognize and confront problems in a timely manner.
Establish
and maintain relationships with customers via business meetings, phone
conversations, presentations, etc. to
disclose project status, updates/changes or concerns surrounding the project
plan or schedule.
Develop
and administer process flow layouts, cost-benefit analysis, risk mitigation and
budgetary reporting.
Initiate
and implement project plan and development including the preparation of project
schedules from conceptual design up to and including execution of project
schedule.
Collaborate
with Human Resources and Management in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring
of project management and construction personnel.
Act as a
liaison to the Fabrication Shop and the Manufacturing Scheduler to expedite
material flow to job sites.
Act as a
liaison with Engineering to coordinate details that meet the Sales design
objectives. and to guarantee that the
customer's intent is being met with designs and fabricated components.
Act as a
liaison with Purchasing to guarantee timely delivery of components to the job
site that meet the original Sales design objectives.
Act as a
liaison with Sales to communicate any design changes and improvements needed to
expedite projects and improve costs.
Coordinate with Sales on the development of initial cost estimates and
project budgets/account assignments and construction schedules.
Coordinate with
Accounting/Administration in the timely execution of construction contracts,
pay requests, change orders, and the tracking of costs.
Enforce and supervise safety requirements and policies.
Develop
contract documents, which may include writing sub-contracts and amending
contract requirements.
Maintain
proper documentation of project-related efforts.
Perform
all duties required of Project Managers.
Assists
with the scheduling of all road crew personnel, subcontractors, project
engineers, and fabrication.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate
and manage Project Managers. This will
include assigning tasks, providing leadership and guidance. Must be able to identify clear roles and
responsibilities and be able to influence the project team.
QUALIFICATIONS
To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

50 million dollars in size. Projects should include construction of processing
facilities.
Must have
a good understanding of project management concepts and techniques, including
project control, planning, estimating, resource management, risk management,
and quality assurance. Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft
Word/Excel/Explorer/Project. Primavera
P3 experience preferred. Must be
proficient in survey/layout techniques.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's
degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in a related engineering
field or construction management. Five
years related project management experience in seed, grain, feed, or milling
industry. Five years experience in
training and performing on-site safety audits.
Requires expertise in and the ability to conduct training/audits for
excavations, electrical safety, crane and sling safety, confined space, fall
protection, hazard communication, PPE, mobile platform safety,
welding/cutting/grinding safety, and ladder safety. Requires knowledge and experience in managing
small task forces, leadership and motivation.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability
to communicate effectively with management, customers, office and field
personnel utilizing written and verbal forms of communication. Ability to efficiently present information to
management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability
to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals,
financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers,
regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for
publication that conform to prescribe style and format.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability
to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms,
quadratic equations, and permutations.
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency
distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance,
correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability
to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical
or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Must have OSHA 30-hour construction certification.

job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,
depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to drive. Must be
able to walk rough, muddy terrain of construction sites. Must be able to climb ladders and work from
elevated structure, with proper PPE.

The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate. Extreme noise, dust, welding flash, mud,
snow, ice, abrasion, and fall hazards are routinely present at construction job
sites and the employee will be required to wear proper PPE.
This position requires frequent
travel and extended workdays.
